“And I saw THREE unclean spirits like FROGS come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.” (Revelation 16:13-14)

It is interesting to note that Revelation gives us the symbol of THREE frogs. Not only have literal frogs been historically associated with France (see quote at end of previous post) but the symbol of THREE frogs together is also one that has been historically associated with France. The name of the country comes from the Latin word Francia meaning “country of the Franks”. One of the most famous king of the Franks, Clovis I, was associated with the symbol of THREE FROGS as we shall see.

Clovis

King Clovis I

He was the first king of the Franks to convert to Roman Catholicism – one of the 10 European “horns” (kings/kingdoms) to give power to the Papal Beast (Revelation 17:12-13) for a time – and so a very important figure in French and European history.

Here’s a little info concerning Clovis I taken from Wikipedia :

“Clovis (c. 466 – 511), or Chlodowech (Latin Chlodovechus), was the first king of the Franks to unite all of the Frankish tribes under one ruler, changing the form of leadership from a group of royal chieftains to rule by a single king and ensuring that the kingship was passed down to his heirs. He was also the first Christian* king to rule Gaul, known today as France.”

* Roman Catholic

“He made Paris his capital and established an abbey dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul on the south bank of the Seine.”

“Clovis converted to Catholicism at the instigation of his wife, Clotilde, a Burgundian princess who was a Catholic in spite of the Arianism that surrounded her at court.”

“Clovis is remembered for three main accomplishments: 1. the Unification of the Frankish nation, 2. the Conquest of much of Gaul and 3. his conversion to a form of Christianity.”

“By the first act, he assured the influence of his people beyond the borders of Gaul, something no regional king could accomplish. By the second act, he laid the foundations of a later nation-state, France. By the third act, he made himself the ally of the papacy and its protector as well as that of the people, who were mostly Catholics.”

Prior to his conversion from Paganism to Roman Catholicism Clovis, the king who united the Franks, used the heraldic device of THREE FROGS. It’s interesting that the symbol of THREE FROGS was associated with a leader who tried to GATHER/UNITE people together in what would become France. In the Book of Revelation the symbol of the THREE FROGS is associated with an end-times GATHERING of the rulers of the world against Christianity: “For they [the three frogs] are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to GATHER THEM to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.” (Revelation 16:14)

Notice on the following photo of a statue of Clovis located at Innsbruck, Austria that there are THREE FROGS on the shield of Clovis:

In the Wikipedia entry “Attributed arms” we read the following:

“Arms were attributed to important pre-heraldic kings. Among the best known are those assigned to the King of the Franks, who was given THREE TOADS. The three fleurs-de-lis of France supposedly derive from these (Neubecker, 225).”

Here’s a photo of a French document associated with the 1500th anniversary of the conversion of Clovis to Roman Catholicism and in it we see frogs:

The number THREE by itself is also fitting for France when we consider its current national flag (THREE colors) and its famous national motto (THREE words : liberty, equality and fraternity).

lef

Three words of French motto : Liberty, Equality, Fraternity

These three words – Liberty, Equality and Fraternity – have defined this current man-centered, Bible-rejecting, revolutionary era which began with the French Revolution. Politics have been defined more and more by the word “Liberty”** (e.g. human “rights”, women’s “liberation” movement, pro-“choice”, legalization of sins, overthrow of monarchies, popular revolutions, anarchists). Economics have been defined more and more by the word “Equality” (e.g. socialism, communism). Religion has been defined more and more by the word “Fraternity” (e.g. religious ecumenism/dialogue).

** it’s interesting to note that the word “Frank” associated with France is thought to mean “free”

Of course this Satanic “liberty” is a false liberty. Christ taught : “Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.” (John 8:34b)

Economic “Equality”

Religious “Fraternity”

Such has been the influence of the “frogs” of Revelation chapter 16 that even the “Pharaoh” of “spiritual Egypt” has had to change his tune publicly:

Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World, #41 (Vatican II): “The Church proclaims the rights of man.”

Paul VI spoke these man-centered words the UN on October 4, 1965: “The peoples of the earth turn to the United Nations as the last hope of concord and peace.”

John Paul II spoke these words in France in 1980 : “We know the place that the ideas of liberty, equality and fraternity hold in your culture and in your history. Basically, these are Christian ideas.”

Pope John Paul II (Redemptor Hominis) : “For the Church, all ways lead to Man . . . Man is the primary route that the Church must travel; he is the primary and fundamental way.”

(quotes taken from a traditional Catholic website)

What other European nation is as associated historically with frogs as France is? What other European nation can be said to be historically tied to a symbol of THREE FROGS (heraldry, flag, etc..)? What other historic Catholic European nation has caused as many problems for Rome’s “Pharaoh”, the pope, in modern times? What other modern nation has spewed forth as much anti-Christian philosophy in the last 300 years?

Just a quick observation : France because of its geographical shape is called l’Hexagone (“the Hexagon”), a 6-sided polygon; 6 is Biblically the number of MAN (created on the 6th day) and being less than 7, the number of God’s perfection, is also associated with SIN and imperfection… a fitting number for man-centered, God-rejecting France!
